Growing old and grey
A message to non-Dutch visitors who accidentally stumbled upon this page in the website. This page is of interest at a local scale only.
The page is about a reunion of the pupils in our school class 1961-1967, 41 pupils in a classroom. The teachers managed to 'drill' us in a successful way, given the fact that amongst these 41 pupils, we find millionaires, former millionaires, PhD-labeled ones, globetrotters, missionaries, craftsmen, businessmen and women, some of them even play golf, without focussing on adultry at the 19th hole.
All of this is not visible in the picture album.
Almost all of them informing us about the number of kids they procreated (with help of a second party) and even the number of grandchildren.
And harmonium & reed organ? Only one, it seemed. You know this guy, he talks about them each and every day.
And of course we all were very proud to see our teacher of 1962, in second grade. We were 7 years young. And the teacher, he endured the weather conditions each day, commuting every day 70 kilometers on a moped a.k.a motorbike. And he was only a few years older than us the pupils, he was 19 in those days.
He came to me to confess.
And given the present financial crisis all over the world, an important message: Fear not: for I bring you good tidings of great joy: "Only one pupil does not have an automobile, meaning that 37 do own one" :-)
The pictures don’t have much to tell you, only that all of us, 50 years later in life have gray hair, and three of us are deceased.
There is however one distinct flaw in the album: I am visible in the album.
So, if you stumbled accidentally upon this page, there is a plethora of 390 other pages, all about the harmonium and reed organ.

The frame is a historic one. It is the cover of the 1920 cover of a Schiedmayer catalog
